Emerson To Install PlantWeb® Digital Architecture With Ovation® Control System At New 300-MW, Combined Cycle Power Plant

Emerson Process Management announced recently that it will install its PlantWeb® digital plant architecture with the Ovation® expert control system at Basin Electric Power Cooperative’s Deer Creek Station. This new 300-MW, combined cycle plant, to be located near the town of White in southeastern South Dakota, is being built to help Basin Electric meet its members’ growing demand for power. The plant will serve as an intermediate supply unit that will run approximately 12-16 hours a day, cycling to meet demand.
