COP28: TotalEnergies Signs The Agreement On Investment For Its 1 GW Wind Power Project In Kazakhstan

On the occasion of the COP28 in Dubai, in presence of the President of Kazakhstan, Patrick Pouyanné and the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan signed the Agreement on Investment (AoI) for TotalEnergies’ Mirny project. Largest wind energy project ever initiated in Kazakhstan, Mirny will supply more than 1 million people with low-carbon electricity and will avoid the emission of 3.5 million tons of CO2 annually in the country.

GE Vernova To Supply 36 Turbines To O2 Power For Its 97 MW Wind Power Project In India

GE Vernova announced today an order from O2 Power Private Limited to supply, install, and commission 36 units of its workhorse 2.7-132 onshore wind turbines for the 97 MW wind power projects in Maharashtra, India. The agreement will enable the supply of renewable energy to various industries and commercial establishments in India and will contribute towards India’s target of 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.

Air Liquide And Sasol Sign New Long-Term Contracts To Supply An Additional 100 MW Of Renewable Electricity To The Secunda Site

Air Liquide and Sasol have signed new Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) with the global wind and solar company Mainstream Renewable Power, for the long-term supply of a capacity of 97.5 MW of renewable power to Sasol’s Secunda site, in South Africa, where Air Liquide operates the biggest oxygen production site in the world.

National Grid Renewables has announced the execution of two power purchase agreements (PPAs) for its Blevins Solar Project (Blevins), a 270-megawatt (MW) development located in Falls County, Texas. Under the PPAs, Fujifilm has contracted 125 MW of solar, and Bristol Myers Squibb has contracted 145 MW of solar.
