Voltage Sag Protection

The PQ IVR system integrates energy storage and power electronics to boost utility sag events by 10-30% at any load level. A superconducting magnet stores the energy to bridge voltage sags. When a sag is detected, the system immediately rebuilds the voltage. The user's plant receives smooth, uninterrupted power.

System performance is independent of load size, and is limited only by source and load characteristics. Long ride-through times allow this system to bridge multiple, rapid-fire events. Following any magnitude of carryover, it recharges rapidly. A monitoring alarm system reports status to the user and to ASC field service offices. This system is specifically designed to protect large industrial facilities.
