Introduced in 1991 by United Technical Products, UTP ESD Carpet Tile is the most effective ESD floor covering in the industry. Since its launch, UTP has supplied the electronics manufacturing industry with over 10 million square feet of ESD Carpet Tile - representing a base of over 500 customers. Due to its patented construction, it safely and effectively dissipates static at a controlled rate. A key component in it's construction is the Helix 44 Denier.

This conductive monofilament fiber was jointly developed by BASF and UTP, exclusively for UTP. The Helix 44 Denier conductive fiber is twisted into every tuft - creating 100 conductive contact points per square inch. Static charges are ionized at the surface and conducted directly to ground through the static dissipative vinyl backing and patented conductive adhesive system.

Absorbing 10 times the noise of a hard surface floor, our ESD Carpet Tile virtually deadens impact noise at the source. The flexible surface increases employees' comfort, reducing fatigue and back strain. Additionally, you can color-code a carpet tile installation to direct traffic patterns or to designate between specific work areas. And best of all, it's a low maintenance system that's easy to repair or change and doesn't require ESD waxes or finishes.
