S&S Electric Recognized By CE Pro And TechHome Builder Magazines

Oldsmar, FL - S&S Electric, a third-generation family-owned and operated electric contracting company dedicated to leveraging the latest technology, announced its most recent distinction as one of the 2007 Top 30 Structured Wiring Dealers in North America selected by CE Pro Magazine and TechHome Builder Magazine. This is the fourth consecutive year that S&S Electric has been awarded this prestigious honor.

The 2007 Top 30 Structured Wiring Dealers in North America Awards Program celebrates the most successful US and Canadian home technology contracting firms specializing in high-volume integration. Structured wiring systems use high-speed, high-performance wiring and connectivity to provide the electronic foundation for a home. Once installed, a structured cabling system allows the homeowner flexibility, convenience, and ease of use and installation for the current or future electronic products in the household.

"It is an honor to be recognized by CEPro and TechHome Builder Magazines," says Shawn Smith, Vice President of S&S Electric. "At S&S Electric, we are dedicated to providing our customers with cutting edge technology solutions, creating fully wired homes."

Although the designation is reserved for top volume dealers, this segment has taken a significant hit across the U.S. as new construction has slowed. "Our overall volume has decreased," says Smith, "but our average revenue per home has increased due to our ability to interact more closely with homebuyers."

Structured Wiring Systems comprise the backbone for many homeowner-requested upgrades such as: surround-sound home theaters, satellite, interactive TV, whole-home music through built-in speakers, wireless networking and lighting control, all of which create an overall ambiance throughout the home.

S&S Electric has taken a leadership role in the establishment of best practices within the Home Technology market because of the increasing demand from homeowners to have a fully-connected home.
