Square D MainPro maintenance program improves reliability of electrical equipment
A new program from Square D / Schneider Electric (Palatine, IL) uses computer analysis of maintenance data to provide maintenance and reliability assessments of electrical distribution equipment. The program — MainPro Maintenance Program — can also be used to prioritize future maintenance and upgrade activity.
With the MainPro Maintenance Program users can predict future maintenance dates based on the reliability assessment, thus enhancing safety and eliminating the costs of unnecessary maintenance. The program also offers trending of condition and reliability ratings to increase reliability and effectiveness by reducing failures and downtime.
The program has comprehensive maintenance procedures that cover all potential failure modes. Hand-held bar code scanners and computers are used for field data collection and verification. Users can interface data to POWERLOGIC SMS/GFX graphics screens, and generate executive summary reports about the electrical distribution system to provide comments and recommendations.
