Self-contained signal transmitters (Sondes) are used to trace the path of non-metallic pipes, locate line blockage, clay tile, cast iron, asbestos and any other non-metallic or non-conductive structures that will accept the insertion of the Sonde. There are many other applications for the use of the Sondes. They are chiefly used in the industrial construction and underground utility industry.
The 8840S SONDE transmits a signal of 815Hz while traveling through the non-conductive structure.
The 8840S SONDE signal can be traced with most RYCOM locating devices.
