The SERVISAVOR is a mobile unit designed to temporarily restore power to customers
The SERVISAVOR is a mobile unit designed to temporarily restore power to customers served with aluminum underground secondary cable with one faulted conductor. Most such faults are an open in one of the hot legs or the neutral. By connecting the SERVISAVOR between the customers meter socket and his meter, power can be restored without immediately locating and repairing the cable fault or running temporary above ground conductors. This permits quick customer response and allows cable fault location and repair to be completed during normal working hours. The SERVISAVOR consists of a magnetic circuit breaker protected 240 volt autotransformer and its ten foot connecting cable with ringless meter socket adapter. Mounted on a hand truck with 6 inch wide 16 inch diameter pneumatic tires, the unit can be moved by one person to the customers meter socket. An optional 0-250 volt meter with two pushbuttons is available inside the circuit breaker box to display phase to phase and phase to ground voltages. Units with this option are designated the Model 15M and Model 20M. An economy version of the SERVISAVOR is also available.
