Today's vehicle of choice is PowerPrice, a Windows based software and communications package that allows the utility to transmit pricing, CBL, and usage information to customers on a routine basis over voice grade phone lines. Information at both the customer and utility sites can be displayed in tabular and/or graphical formats, making pricing, CBL, and usage data easy to view and understand.
PowerPrice can also handle load reduction/curtailment. RTP customers can be maintained with the PowerPrice software in either of two scenarios, a flat reduction of firm load level, or a percentage basis of firm .
To further enhance the capabilities of PowerPrice, Utility Data Resources offers a service bureau which allows the utility to offer the RTP rate(s) needed to stay competitive in today's increasingly deregulated environment without having to hire the staff and purchase the computer facilities to administer the rate to customers.
