The Powerlon device is the first and only retrofit residential electricity metering solution for Echelon LonWorks PLC networks. The Powerlon device fits inside US residential electricity meters from ABB, Siemens and General Electric and captures electricity consumption using American Innovation's proven optical sensing technology. Data is exchanged with the LonWorks network controller using powerline communications along the copper wiring.
