The model BA-96-1 is a quantitative instrument designed to evaluate the working surfaces of anti-friction bearings.
The model BA-96-1 is a quantitative instrument designed to evaluate the working surfaces of anti-friction bearings. Its basic function is to measure mechanical vibration, or bearing noise. During use, a test bearing is operated to generate a noise signal, which is then compared to the previously established acceptance criteria. It is this comparison that is used to evaluate the condition of a bearing, it's working surfaces, and degree of wear.
Increased sensitivity and range of control has been designed into the analyzer to permit measurements for a wide range of bearing sizes, from small instrument bearings, to large Jet engine bearings. The final outcome of this comparison is to determine the acceptance or rejection of the bearing for use or overhaul, helping to improve the cost efficiency of an operation.
Bearing Inspection will be attending Power-Gen 2000. The company will be displaying their products and services in booth #1027.
