An EPA-certified monitoring system, the KVB/MIP is a lightweight, efficient solution for determining opacity or dust concentration in stack gases. The model 3086EPA is designed to advance the state of opacity monitoring with higher levels of accuracy, flexible installation and reduced long-term maintenance.

The system is based on a low-power laser with excellent beam collimation and intensity that can sustain path lengths up to 300 feet in many situations. It does not require factory calibration and the single-pass, dual-path design reduces maintenance and quality assurance labor hours. Since the monitor includes a lightweight weatherproof housing and has a beam diameter of about 1 mm, installations on small stacks and ducts are easy. It also makes an excellent portable monitor for convenient comparative testing. Additional features include:

•Meets U.S. EPA requirements
•Flexible installation
•Continuous diagnostics
•Vibration-resistant
•No large blowers required
