"Multipoint" Power Recorder
The new "Multipoint" Power Recorder from Reliable Power Meters is the perfect solution for permanent monitoring applications that demand the ultimate in power measurement. The "Multipoint" Power recorder measures power consumption, harmonics, flicker, and all power quality parameters simultaneously, in a single instrument.
The "Multipoint" Power Recorder uses the same circuitry and software that was developed for the portable Power Recorder. A new enclosure design means the "Multipoint" can be easily installed in switch-gear, cabinets, or NEMA enclosures. The instrument is "electrician-friendly"; it comes with a base-unit for convenient mounting in the desied location with voltage and current terminal blocks to allow quick connection to its four voltage and five current channels. Current Transformers are built-in to allow pick-up of existing 5 amp metering points, so no additional or external CT's are required.
Ethernet, which offers the fastest communications to a central PC, is standard on every "Multipoint". It supports TCP/IP so you can connect a network of multiple monitors around your facility, your substation, or your data center and communicate with them over LAN/WAN's, intranets, or even the Internet!
Easy to Install!
The Multipoint Power Recorder consists of a base with built in CT's and terminal blocks, and a detachable acquisition unit. The base can be pre-installed, and the acquisition unit attaches by four screws. If ever a Multipoint need to be removed for calibration or dervice, there's no need to disturb voltage or current wiring. Simply unscrew, leaving the base behind. You can install several base units at key locations to accept an acquisition that can be moved from location to location to collect data for a predictive maintenance program.
Two versions of the "Multipoint Power Recorder are available: the standard version (model 1951) measures sags, swells, and transients to 130 us duration, while the high speed version (model 1958) also measures impulses to 500ns duration.

All "Multipoint" Power Recorders measure the following as standard, with no need to change or load hardware or software modules:
- Power Consumption (Watts, VA, VAR, PF, displacement Power Factor, Demand, KWh.)
- Harmonics (to 63rd harmonic, THD, real-time harmonic spectrum with magnitude, phase angle, tracking (long-term summaries) of all 63 harmonics, V & I on all channels over the monitoring period)
- Flicker (to IEC 868 with Pst and Plt)
- Power Quality (sages, swells, transients, long-term trends of RMS V & I, as well as frequency, imbalance)
- Real time oscilloscopes (waveforms, harmonics, power meters, impedence)
