Schneider Electric offers a full range of motion products that provide superior control for single-axis, multi-axis and coordinated multi-axis motion installations
Schneider Electric offers a full range of motion products that provide superior control for single-axis, multi-axis and coordinated multi-axis motion installations. Control functions are integrated directly into Schneider Electric's Modicon PLCs for close coordination between discrete, process, and motion applications.
The Schneider family of motion products ranges from standalone position control to coordinated multi-axis motion control. We even offer motion controllers that integrate into the I/O network, making motion control as simple as plugging in an I/O module.
  • Altivar AC drives
Providing infinitely variable speed regulation, the ALTIVAR family of sensorless flux vector AC drives can electronically regulate the speed and torque of standard, constant-speed motors to economically provide improved motion control. With the ability to accelerate uniformly from a dead stop or to electronically stop a motor, the ALTIVAR drive virtually eliminates brake wear, reducing maintenance and related costs, as well as saving electricity costs. On-line diagnostics within ALTIVAR drives regularly check the status of your VFD package, from the drive itself and the motor it controls to the operator panel and everything in between.
  • LexiumSchneider Electric's servo drives are the newest, state-of-the-art amplifiers, ranging from a standalone position control amplifier to a set of amplifiers for a coordinated multi-axis motion control environment. The Lexium family of products includes both the drive and the motor. The Lexium 17D/S servo drive offer the following features:
    • global input voltage (208-480 VAC) which replaces regional solutions for higher volume, lower commercial costs
    • wide 1.5A to 20A power range
    • CE approval without external filters
    • small mounting footprint
    • integrated position indexer that delivers a cost-effective solution for single axis applications
    • I/O expansion option
    • SERCOS compliance for the 17S drive
    • simulators, available for both the digital and SERCOS version drives

  • Quantum SERCOS
The state-of-the-art Quantum SERCOS motion controller is available in two different configurations: the 486 DX2 66MHz processor with 2M non-volatile storage that can command up to eight axes and the 486 DX5 133 MHz processor with 4M non-volatile storage that can command up to 22 axes. The controller offers numerous motion features, including: electronic gearing, phase advance/retard, queued and blended moves, S-curve profile, multiple independent coordinated axis groups, and more.
