Morgan Schaffer Systems

Source: Morgan Schaffer Systems
Morgan Schaffer Systems provides the electrical industry, worldwide, with reliable instruments for on-site and on-line monitoring of moisture and dissolved fault gases in oil-filled electrical equipment. Developed as the original equipment manufacturing division of Morgan Schaffer Corporation, it was incorporated as a separate company in 1991.

MSS manufactures monitoring equipment, mainly portable analyzers and on-line monitors, for measuring dissolved fault gases and moisture content in dielectric fluids. Fault gases are generated when insulating fluids are subjected to thermal and/or electrical stresses. Their presence and, more important, increasing in concentrations in the insulating oil, indicate the presence of incipient faults (partial discharge, problems, overheating, and arcing) which can escalate in major equipment failures.

The instruments manufactured by MSS are unique. For example, our TFGA-P200 analyzer is the only truly portable solution for complete on-site dissolved gas analysis, and our AMS-500Plus monitor is the only on-line fault detection system which also monitors dissolved water. All systems are provided complete with accessories, software, and on-site training when required.

Technical support is provided worldwide via a network of authorized agents and directly by phone, e-mail and fax when necessary. MSS is currently experiencing rapid growth, mainly due to its innovations and unequalled technical support. Our engineers, agents, scientists and specialized technicians are dedicated to providing the best solutions for on-site and on-line measurements of key parameters in dielectric fluids. MSS also recognizes that gas-in-oil measurements are ultimately used for decision making. Integration of fault diagnostic software is therefore an important aspect of all our solutions.
