Larson Electronics Releases Power Distribution System, 45 kVA, 440V Primary, 208Y/120V Secondary

Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of a power distribution system steps 440V AC electrical current down to three-phase 208Y/120V AC. This system gives operators the ability to tie into a protected 60-amp, 440V service and power up to four 208V and six 120V devices. This unit provides operators with a safe way to tap into and use power sources independently of work area limitations.

The MPD-440V-45KVA-208Y.120V-4X50A-6X20A power distribution system comes equipped with 20 feet of 6/4 SOOW line-in cable with blunt cut end and is protected by a 60-amp primary disconnect. This unit is rated 45 kVA and steps 60 amps of 440V service down to 208Y/120V three-phase power, feeding a 125-amp main breaker NEMA 3R panel. The secondary panel has four 50-amp breakers protecting four CS6369L receptacles and six 20-amp breakers protecting six 20-amp, 120V GFCI receptacles that are equipped with weatherproof covers.

Larson Electronics’ power distribution system is mounted on a 3/16-inch thick carbon steel mounting platform with a load center/distribution assembly mounted to a 2-inch by 2-inch by 1/8-inch thick square carbon steel tubing frame. This unit comes with forklift skid pockets, swivel casters and a lifting eyelet on the top. Suitable applications include plant maintenance and turnarounds, marine applications, welding stations, industrial applications and more.
