UTILCO's KUP-L-Tap line of connectors offers a full range of insulation piercing connectors designed to fit electrical contractors' particular needs for all applications. Dual rated for copper or aluminum conductors from #14 to 750 MCM, the time proven KUP-L-Tap lowers costs, saves on installation time and increases safety.
Featuring a molded body constructed of tough resilient glass-filled nylon, KUP-L-Tap can be used as a dead-end, non-tension splice or tap splice. For indoor and outdoor use, KUP-L-Tap is pre-filled with a silicone-blocking agent to prevent oxidation and moisture from entering the contact area.
KUP-L-Tap contains no external energized parts and can be installed "hot" on energized conductors, providing the tap conductors is not under load. KUP-L-Tap meets UL listing 486B, is CSA certified and is rated 90°C.
