Affordable Infrared Camera for Building Diagnostics and Predictive Maintenance: FLIR i3

The i3 infrared camera is an affordable infrared camera that can be used in several applications that relate to building diagnostics, predictive/preventive maintenance, and more. It has been priced to allow companies to buy several infrared cameras for individual technicians’ use, and designed to be a significant, yet cost-effective, upgrade to an infrared thermometer.

The i3 infrared camera is affordable enough to make it easy for users to upgrade from a single-spot infrared thermometer to rich visual diagnostics of an IR camera. Infrared thermometers tend to have limited capabilities, in that a user would get a numerical readout of a single-spot’s temperature average. Upgrading to an i3 infrared camera gives you precise temperature readings using color shading so you can easily and accurately spot problem over a much larger area.

The i3 infrared camera has <0.15°C, a 60 x 60 resolution, 3,600 pixel count, and a 12.5° x 12.5° FOV (Field of View). Like the rest of the i-Series Infrared Cameras, the i3 is focus free, has a 9Hz frame rate, a 2.8” color LED screen, an uncooled microbolometer, an iron, rainbow, and gray thermal palette, and more.

Additional information on potential applications, specifications, and the rest of the i-Series Infrared Cameras can be found on the available datasheet.
