Founded in 1989 by Dr. Michael Z. Lowenstein, a recognized leader in power quality, Harmonics Limited is dedicated to helping businesses maximize their mission-critical electrical systems. History
Aware of the growing financial and competitive significance of power quality, Dr. Lowenstein dedicated himself to developing a line of revolutionary power quality-enhancing products.

Initially, Dr. Lowenstein's products consisted of a selection of plug-in filters that reduced harmonic currents at the load. Recognizing its potential, Dr. Lowenstein contracted with Data Support Associates, a successful Connecticut rep firm specializing in power quality, to expand the line. This collaboration led to the development of the Neutralizer Series, a full suite of harmonic suppression systems that could reduce harmonic currents from within an entire distribution system.

Together, Dr. Lowenstein and DSA formed the Harmonics Limited Distribution Corporation (HLDC), and brought on Mark Schneider as CEO in 1996. With the goal of developing an effective harmonic suppression system that could be installed into the main electrical distribution scheme of a facility, the company developed TransMax and SysteMax.

In 1998, HLDC became Harmonics Limited, LLC, a company focused on the development, manufacturing and marketing of its revolutionary suite of harmonic suppression systems.
