Hamon Research-Cottrell to supply replacement precipitator for Ames, IA municipal power plant
Hamon Research-Cottrell (HRC) has been awarded a contract for a replacement electrostatic precipitator to retrofit a coal-fired utility boiler for the municipal power plant of the City of Ames, IA.
The material and labor contract was awarded to HRC on the basis of a technical evaluation of all bids by Black & Veatch Engineers of Kansas City, MO, and a commercial evaluation by the legal staff of the City of Ames.
The HRC offering includes an innovative equipment layout, optimized to minimize cost to the customer by facilitating installation without need for relocation of the existing induced-draft fan.
