Everett, WA. - Fluke Corporation recently announced the Fluke 1621 Basic Earth Ground Tester, which is designed as a portable, easy-to-operate tool for quickly detecting reliable ground connections in most work environments. It features basic ground testing methods including 3-pole Fall of Potential and 2-pole ground resistance, and enables users to capture values with a single button, making it a handy tool for electrical contractors, utility test engineers and earth ground specialists in the field. Earth Ground resistance measurements are used to ensure safe operation of an electrical installation and reduce power quality problems. The instrument is extremely lightweight, making it ideal to test for lightning protection levels and periodic check-ups during routine maintenance.

The Fluke 1621 has automatic noise voltage detection to help ensure accurate measurements, and will alert users to measurements outside of an adjustable limit setting. It features a large, dual, back-lit display, a hazardous voltage warning, and a rugged holster.
