Versatile and rugged tools for industrial and utility applications

Everett, WA - Fluke Corporation recently announced the Fluke 353 and Fluke 355 True-rms 2000 A Clamp Meters, which feature an extra-wide jaw (58 mm/2.3 inch) that enables users to easily clamp around large or multiple conductors typically found in areas with significant power loads, such as at the service entrance of large pumps or sizable facilities.

The true-rms clamp meters measure up to 2000 A dc and 1400 A ac to address a wide range of high current applications, and have a 600 V CAT IV and 1000 V CAT III rating for added user protection. The meters feature a special mode for measuring inrush current, designed to be more accurate and repeatable in capturing "power-on" surge current than just measuring peak current on motors and inductive loads. Additionally, the Fluke 355 measures voltage to 1000 V dc and 600 V ac (true-rms) and resistance to 400 k ohms with a continuity beeper, allowing utility technicians, electrical contractors and industrial service technicians to perform multiple tests with only one tool.

The large backlit display on the Fluke 353 and Fluke 355 allows for good visibility even in areas where lighting is poor, and the display-hold feature captures readings when taking measurements in situations where the display cannot be viewed directly. The clamp meters measure frequency up to 1 kHz for troubleshooting applications, feature MIN, MAX and AVG functions for analyzing readings quickly, and a low-pass filter for more accurate and stable readings when taking measurements on equipment with high frequency or switching noise.
