The model 3900 Chassis is a 19-in. rack mounted device that provides a convenient way of grouping several Ethernet Links in a common installation. A typical installation maybe in conjunction with a UTP Ethernet Hub where it becomes desirable to change one or more of the hub's 10Base-T ports to 10Base-FL. The Chassis mounts adjacent to the Ethernet hub, is populated with the appropriate DYMEC 10BASE-FL Links and a jumper cable connects the Link with the appropriate port on the hub.
