Description

The PHA-1000 is a new portable hydrogen analyzer which can measure dissolved hydrogen in transformer oil in less than 90 seconds. The instrument can analyze oil samples prepared using MSS' unique Shake Test* technique and gas samples generated by the GP-100 gas extraction probe, a passive device installed on power and instrument transformers for continously producing a gas sample for on-site analysis without oil sampling.

The PHA-1000 is one of the simplest and fastest way of testing oil-filled equipment for the presence of faults. It offers a cost efficient way of screening transformers to detect units requiring more attention between routine DGA tests. Used in conjunction with MSS' GP-100 probes, the PHA-1000 also provides a unique solution for testing low cost CT's without oil sampling.
