Failure Prevention in Steam Systems
Source: ASME
This continuing education course covers the prevention of equipment corrosion, fatigue, creep, and other failures.
This continuing education course covers the prevention of equipment corrosion, fatigue, creep, and other failures. The participants will learn how to achieve significant improvements in failure and damage control via an awareness of the steam cycle operation process, timely inspections, diagnostic monitoring, preventive maintenance, and a knowledge of properties relevant to materials used. Also discussed is the manner in which the cooperation of operators, water chemists, mechanical and thermodynamic designers, chemical, material, and corrosion engineers, and management helps in achieving these improvements.
