Definite Purpose Contactor Product Line

(PITTSBURGH, PA)- Benshaw, Inc., the leading manufacturer of Solid State Motor Controls announced the addition of a UL recognized Definite Purpose contactor line to compliment their existing lines of motor control.

Benshaw definite purpose contactors are optimally rated for control of medium duty and electric heating applications. Typical applications for include: Compressor motors, Heating systems, Air conditioning motors, Conveyor systems, Refrigeration applications, and Specialty Pump motors.

All contactor accessories are common with the entire Benshaw RSC/SPO line of contactors, starters and motor protection relays.

"The addition of the definite purpose line completes Benshaw's total offering of Motor Control," says Brock Hemmingsen, General Manager of the OEM Products and Services Division. "With our ability to custom package, the definite purpose line will strengthen our OEM capabilities," added Hemmingsen.

The DP contactors are din rail or panel mountable, can be obtained with direct mount overload relays and are of compact size. In addition, they boast some of the longest electrical and mechanical lifespans in the industry. Low coil consumption and uni-directional mounting capabilities are also features of the product line.

"The definite purpose contactors, along with our NEMA and IEC rated contactors, are very competitively priced and carry a 2 Year Warranty," says Ray Kurkiewicz, National OEM Sales Manager, "We expect them to do very well."

The contactors are available with either AC or DC coils.
