CSI Electrical Contractors Recognized By National Electrical Contractors Association For Electrical Excellence Within Orange County

CSI Electrical Contractors, one of California’s most sought after electrical construction firms, received recognition from the Orange County Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) for their award-winning work.

Santa Fe Springs, California (PRWEB) - CSI Electrical Contractors, one of California’s most sought after electrical construction firms, received recognition from the Orange County Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) for their award-winning work on the Olinda Landfill Gas-To-Energy project and the DPR Newport Beach Regional Office.

Olinda Landfill Gas-To-Energy
CSI Electrical Contractors provided and installed a distribution power infrastructure for the new Olinda Landfill Gas to Energy facility. CSI provided this quick-turn around project with installation of all power and controls for the new landfill gas compressors, heat recovery steam generators, and other associated systems and support equipment. The Olinda Landfill facility compresses landfill gas to power four generators; in turn, the heat these generators produce is used to create steam, which fuels an additional generator. Ultimately, this methane-to-energy solution delivers more than 30 megawatts of electrical power to the city of Anaheim, California.

DPR Newport Beach Regional Office
To implement the firm’s vision of achieving LEED® Gold certification within a sleek, high tech showcase, DPR chose CSI Electrical Contractors to deliver the office’s electrical and video infrastructure, along with its lighting and security systems. The office environment features 100 percent LED lighting, with a state-of-the-art networked lighting control system from nLight that delivers granular command to the individual user level, from a desktop app. CSI delivered this capability including integrating the lighting system with DPR’s Siemens building management system (BMS). CSI also connected the office’s ventilation system, incorporating ceiling fans and remote-controlled window open/close functionality into the Siemens BMS. CSI provided the cabling and conduit infrastructure for the office’s comprehensive videoconferencing system, which connects the Newport Beach location with all 15 of DPR’s other offices across the U.S. CSI helped DPR Construction to achieve LEED Gold certification, significantly based on the office’s pure-LED lighting system.

"These two projects were especially close to our hearts," said Steve Watts, Founder and President of CSI. "We have enjoyed a long standing partnership with DPR Construction and were so pleased to lend our talents to their new office. The Olinda Landfill Gas-to-Energy project is an important step in energy conservation advancement, and because of our experience in alternative energy, we could not be happier to accept this award."
