Crisp County Power Selects ACS' PRISM™ For Distribution SCADA Platform

Atlanta, GA /PRNewswire/ - Advanced Control Systems (ACS), a global provider of advanced grid automation technology, announced that it received an order from Crisp County Power Commission (CCPC) for a new PRISM™ SCADA system with advanced network topology model via the Company's DASmap™ application. The ACS system will provide a convenient migration path for CCPC to add Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) applications and an Outage Management System (OMS) as needed.

This award is significant because CCPC is a new ACS customer and represents the latest affirmation of ACS' award-winning PRISM real-time software platform. It also reinforces the trend of modernization and automation at all levels throughout the electric utility industry.

Michael Ivey, Technical Services Manager at CCPC said, "We are looking forward to moving to the ACS PRISM platform. We expressed to ACS our need to modernize our SCADA system to enable integration with our Geographic Information System (GIS) distribution network maps and our upcoming Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) project. ACS impressed us not only with the ability of PRISM to provide exactly what we wanted, but also with how easy the system is to operate and expand with advanced functionality."

"ACS is honored to have been selected by CCPC for this important project," said Kevin Sullivan, ACS' CEO. "We view this as the start of a long-term partnership, and we will do everything that we can to help CCPC deepen their use of technology as they provide expanded service to their electricity customers."
