Commercial Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring System

CNILMS development activity has been sponsored in part through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. As a result of this support, significant progress has been made in the areas of recorder design, Analysis Station and Field Station support for 3 phase loads, as well as CNILMS disaggregation algorithms. CNILMS equipment is currently deployed at sites served by 3 different utilities in the US for Beta testing. Data is being collected and analyzed at this time; however, performance results are not available.

Initial results continue to be encouraging. While the commerical environment presents a rapidly varying and complex end-use environment, significant progress is being made in automatic tracking of multi-state loads as well as other techniques which are proving to be effective in disaggregation of commercial power consumption.
