Circuit Breaker Motion Analyzers

Vanguard Instruments Company Inc.'s model CT-6000 is fourth-generation design of a comprehensive circuit breaker tester which fully analyzes breaker performance.

The CT-6000 analyzes contact time, stroke distance, contact velocity, over-travel, bounce-back and contact wipe. Contact motion anaylsis include: Open, Close, Open-Close, Close-Open, and Open-Close-Open.

Versions are available with 3 dry contact inputs: CT-6000 Jr. ; 6 dry contact inputs: CT-6000-6 and 12 dry contact inputs: CT-6000-12.

All CT-6000 models include:

• Measures main contact time and insertion resistor time
• Selectable timing window of 1 or 10 seconds
• Results provided in milliseconds and cycles
• 2 wet-input channels to monitor breaker A/B switches or trip/close coil voltage waveform
• Current input channel monitors trip/close coil current waveform
• Digital transducer for stroke & velocity requires no calibration
• RS-232C interface for computer controlled operation and test results data storage
• Breaker Analysis software with database included at no charge
• Tabulated and graphical reports printed similar to Cincinnati timer
• Keypad & 4-line display for easy user interface
• Backlit LCD display for easy reading in bright sun or indoors
• Built-in thermal printer produces hard-copy of test results
• Printed test results are time & date stamped
• Self-diagnostic capabilites are incorporated
