Peoria, IL – Caterpillar Inc. will be introducing the next generation of 40 to 175 kW diesel generator sets for 60 Hz applications using the C4.4 and C6.6 engines.

The next generation diesel generators include improved enclosures offering three levels of sound attenuation. The standard generator sets feature a smaller more competitive footprint, with improved paint coverage providing excellent corrosion resistance. For cold weather climates, the enclosures can be configured to include full insulation coverage; the control panel compliments the enclosures by facilitating optional ambient control hardware and could easily accommodate motorized louver conversions. Two sizes of sub base tanks are available providing minimum run times of 24 or 48 hours at 100% load.

The EMCP 4.2 control panel on these generator sets offers improved screen navigation and enables remote communications. A real-time clock allows data/time stamping of events, and the programmable cycle timer allows the customer to program up to seven independent times a week to exercise/operate the generator set for a set duration.

The next generation generators are available with a wide choice of local market driven features which meet EPA Emergency Standby specifications, and are IBC and OSHPD certified.
