Our objective is to develop the best design to maximize brush life and performance for a given application. We work with over 100 different grades of high quality material. We carry over 2000 different types and styles of brushes in stock and we have specially made over 100,000 different types of brushes during the last 10 years.

Helwig has been a leader in the industry with new developments like the Red Top multiflex brush which offers improved electrical contact, reduced brush vibration, and extended spring life. The Red Top is a Helwig patented feature which has proven to be effective in the field for over 30 years.

Red Top Bias brushes offer improved performance under difficult commutating conditions and also allows for maximum shunt capacity.
