C3-ilex, a privately held corporation, began operations in 1982 under the name of ILEX Systems, Inc. In January 1999, C3-ilex, LLC was created from two former Ilex Systems, Inc. divisions consisting of:
- SCADA/EMS Systems
- Consulting & Engineering Services
- Software Development Projects
- e-Learning Management Systems
Corporate offices are located in Fremont, California in the heart of Silicon Valley. Also located in this facility are C3-ilex's manufacturing and engineering laboratories. Additionally, C3-ilex has an office and consulting personnel in Wilmington, NC.
C3-ilex was the first manufacturer of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems to introduce a PC based solution to the complex, highly critical needs of the Utility industry. Since 1983, C3-ilex SCADA products have been delivered to Electric, Water, and Waste Water Utilities with over 200 SCADA Systems and 2000 Remote Terminal Units installed worldwide.
EOScada Master Station on Windows 2000 or NT platforms EOScada Operator Workstations / Remote Workstations 9500 Distributed RTU 9300 RTU. The company's SCADA product line includes IBM PC based Master Stations running on Windows 2000 or Windows NT with automatic system failover, full graphics, and sophisticated monitoring and control capabilities. Installations range from standalone single Master Station systems to large distributed networks of servers, operator workstations, and remote CRTs performing integrated SCADA, Load management, Automatic Generation Control, Real Time Outage Detection, and Interactive Voice Response capabilities.
C3-ilex also manufactures a complete family of Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) for data acquisition and control functions. The RTU product line includes traditional microprocessor based equipment as well as the latest LonWorks based distributed RTU technology with direct AC input and Intelligent Electronic Device interface capabilities.
Since pioneering the original PC based SCADA system, C3-ilex has been the leader in the small to mid-sized Utility market. Each year the SCADA Systems Division invests heavily in research and development to maintain its reputation for providing leading edge technology and innovative products to the rapidly changing Utility industry.
