American Electric Power Seeks High-Sulfur Coal Offers
Columbus, OH - American Electric Power announced recently that its American Electric Power Service Corp. (AEPSC) subsidiary is seeking offers for the supply of high-sulfur coal to one or more of its generating stations.
AEPSC is seeking high-sulfur coals with various specifications. Delivery may be made by rail, barge or truck. Specification details are available at www.aep.com/go/coaloffers.
The invitation requests proposals for spot coal deliveries of a minimum of 25,000 tons per month beginning in June 2008 and extending up to 12 months, and term coal deliveries of a minimum of 25,000 tons per month up to a maximum of 1 million tons per year for a term of three, five or 10 years beginning in 2009 or 2010. The actual accepted length of all offers will be at the purchasing company's option. AEPSC is open to alternative pricing structures or other innovative concepts.
