Adaptive Var Compensators
Overview
Many loads have dynamic reactive power requirements that can not be addressed by conventional switched capacitor banks, but Haefely Trench's AVC with microprocessor control and solid state switching allow response in just one-quarter cycle. This makes the AVC capable of meeting the most demanding applications without generating switching transients or harmonics.
