9300 RTU Overview
The C3-ilex 9300 RTU is a highly expandable design providing flexibility and cost savings in data acquisition and control installations in the electric utility substation. It is intended for use in centralized applications with the entire RTU in one cabinet.
The C3-ilex 9300 RTU also provides the capability for multi-port communications between the RTU and multiple host SCADA/EMS master stations.
Figure 1 shows a typical RTU configuration.
9300 Size
The 9300 uses a small card cage design with plug-in I/O cards. The I/O cards incorporate high density surface mount design technology.

With the modular architectural design, the 9300 RTU can be utilized to implement a wide range of configurations and point counts based upon the following capacity:
- 1000 Indication Inputs (with no accumulators)
- 1000 Sequence of Events SoE inputs ± 1 MS resolution
- 500 SBo controls
- 500 Analog inputs
- 128 Pulse Duration inputs
- 100 Pulse Accumulators (form A)
- 50 Raise/Lower controls
- 8 Serial Interfaces to IEDs
