Through technological advancements and extensive insulation testing field experience, AVO is able to offer you the most highly developed 5 kV insulation testers on the market. One of the most unique features of the 5kV Insulation Testers is their high measurement sensitivity, up to 5 TΩ. The instruments are so accurate in their measurement capability that they can detect insulation deterioration far in advance of insulation failure thus preventing costly repairs and downtime. Their more advanced capabilities include effectively measuring the dirt and moisture level in the insulation (Polarization Index Test), effectively measuring the absorbed moisture (Dielectric Discharge Test), and providing a reliable indication of cracks or holes in the insulation (Step Voltage Test). Through detailed analysis and early detection, costly repairs can be minimized with our easy-to-use 5kV insulation testers.

Our BM25 provides the most sophisticated testing capabilities, allowing the user to test equipment more effectively while still remaining easy to use. It is utilized in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and quality assurance programs to test insulation in electrical apparatus, cables, wires or networks rated from low voltage to EHV. The BM25 can be used to troubleshoot problems when there is a decline in equipment performance, an actual breakdown of the equipment or a fault on a cable or wire.

In addition to offering all the capabilities found in our BM21 model, the BM25 is unique in that it includes an RS232 port and three pre-programmed industry standard test procedures which can run automatically: Polarization Index (PI), Step Voltage and Dielectric Discharge. The BM25 is a compact, battery-powered instrument that can measure up to 5 T. The actual output voltage to the test specimen is always displayed on the LCD.
