PEAC laboratory facilities can evaluate electrical appliances and equipment immunity, distributed generation technologies, test power quality conditions, determine electromagnetic compatibility issues and perform a variety of advanced energy related research projects. The PEAC distributed generation test "park" is capable of measuring the steady state and dynamic behavior of distributed generators and inverter systems subjected to a variety of power system conditions. PEAC is a key industry player in researching power quality interconnection issues, testing new generation technologies and identifying critical technical values for DG integration into the electric power system.

PEAC laboratories also simulate power quality disturbance impacts on both loads and utility equipment. Electromagnetic compatibility of electrical equipment is assessed in a special EMC test-bay. Major areas of the lab are devoted to research & development of new power conditioning and energy conversion technologies. 15 years of hands-on laboratory experience coupled with extensive field experience and computer simulation expertise allow PEAC to provide unparalleled analytical capabilities. PEAC has played a leading role in the industry to develop standards for harmonics, power quality, electromagnetic compatibility and other technical areas.
