Copaco Kraft electrical insulating paper is manufactured from fine electrical grade unbleached virgin wood pulp.

Copaco Kraft electrical insulating paper is manufactured from fine electrical grade unbleached virgin wood pulp. The pulp is highly refined and cleaned to help ensure maximum chemical purity and physical strength. There are no chemical additives, sizing or fillers used in the paper, allowing it to meet the most exacting electrical uses in motors, switch gears, and oil-filled or dry type transformers. The papers are well suited for use with other materials such as polyester film, varnished cambric, cellulose acetate, etc.

In order to ensure maximum adhesion, heavier thicknesses are given a 100% chemically pure resin bond under exacting control methods to meet the critical purity requirements of hermetic motors. The insulating paper is normally furnished with a "glazed roll" finish which results in density and smoothness. Maximum smoothness is important for, ease of insertion in slot cells and other such locations, and to provide resistance to abrasion. The papers can be furnished with a calendared finish or unfinished upon request. These papers are available in continuous rolls up to 60 in. wide, sheets, or coils slit to specifications. They are available in thicknesses from .003 in. to .060 in.
