EPS has the largest incineration capacity in the nation.
All non-PCB and PCB-Contaminated electrical equipment is loaded into EPS's custom designed multi-chamber furnaces. EPS has the largest incineration capacity in the nation. From distribution and power transformers, circuit breakers, switches, bushings and reclosers to gas pipes, valves, tanks and regulators, EPS can handle your disposal needs. In addition, all oil from equipment that is contaminated with PCBs less than 50 ppm PCBs is incinerated in the EPS afterburner.

At the request of the EPA, EPS submitted test data to the EPA to assist them in drafting new furnace regulations. Under the MegaRule, the EPA implemented regulation 40CFR761.72. 40CFR761.72 states the requirements necessary to incinerate PCB-Contaminated electrical equipment. EPS easily met EPA requirements and guarantees that harmful PCBs, dioxins and furans are not released into the atmosphere.
