The battery testing procedure utilizes the BCT-2000 battery capacity test system, micro-ohm meters, digital hydrometers, battery multi-meters, and battery analysis and report generation software to trend data to predict problems prior to battery failure. Information is gathered on laptop computers to analyze it and apply corrective action on the spot. Using the system's network and the Internet for access to information, comprehensive, full-color reports can be produced on paper or sent electronically.

Comprehensive inspections provide information to prevent or identify potential failure in cells, connections, racks, or changing systems. Quarterly or monthly inspections are used to provide supplementary data to monitor shifts in battery condition. All of the data from each of these inspections is cataloged and stored, and used for trending analysis when future data is available.
