Wim Heyselberghs becomes Managing Director at Dynegy

Dynegy has named Wim Heyselberghs managing director, European Strategy for Dynegy Europe. In this capacity, Heyselberghs will facilitate Dynegy's European expansion. He also will be responsible for developing Dynegy's relationships with European and global energy partners. Heyselberghs will report to Gary Cardone, president of Dynegy Europe.

Prior to joining Dynegy, Heyselberghs spent eight years with Tractabel. Before heading EGI, the international energy development arm of Tractabel, he was responsible for EGI's distribution, trading and transport operations. He began his career at Arthur Andersen and later moved to the chemical industry, working for Entreprise Miniere et Chimique, a French company. Heyselberghs was a member of different boards of energy companies worldwide and also was active in the Belgian gas sector and its representation entities. He is a civil engineer of the University of Leuven and a graduate of economics of Antwerp University in Belgium.

Dynegy is a leading provider of energy and communications solutions to customers in North America, the United Kingdom and Europe. The company's leadership position extends across the entire convergence value chain, from power generation to wholesale and retail marketing and trading of power, gas, coal, emission allowances, and weather derivatives to transportation, gathering and processing.
