3W Networks Selected As System Integrator For DEWA SVC Station At NAHDA And CARX 400/132kV Substations
Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (MELCO) a global leader in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment has selected leading System Integrator, 3W Networks, as Communications subcontractor for the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) Static Var Compensator (SVC) Stations at NAHDA and CARX 400/132kV Substations Project in United Arab Emirates.
3W Networks expertise in communication backbone systems will upgrade the existing SDH & PDH multiplexers systems in the NAHDA and CARX substations for the integration of the new SVC stations. This advanced modification will boost DEWA's SVC stations to provide fast-acting reactive power on high-voltage electricity transmission networks.
The scope of work called for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the Telecommunication systems. A Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) will be conducted at 3W Networks State of the Art Integration facilities in Dubai Silicon Oasis prior to installation at the DEWA site.
3W Networks was selected because of its strong Engineering capabilities, local presence and knowledge of optical transmission equipment for the utility sectors.
