Survalent Commissions ADMS For Ecuadorian Energy Company

Smart grid solutions provider Survalent Technology has commissioned an advanced distribution management system (ADMS) for Empresa Electrica Publica de Guayaquil (EEPG). EEPG is an electrical energy generation, distribution and commercialization company located in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Survalent says it commissioned the ADMS - comprising SCADA, outage management (OMS) and distribution management (DMS) - for a total of 25 substations. Every substation has Survalent SCOUT Station Controllers for IED integration, the company notes.

"The new full SCADA/DMS/OMS that includes corporate interfaces with GIS, MDM, Call Center and CIS contribute to the achievement of the goals in terms of quality and service availability for EEPG customers," comments Harold Novoa, vice president of sales for South America at Survalent.
