Non-Metallic Pipe Locatin System

Source: Rycom Instruments, Inc.
Self-contained signal transmitters (Sondes) are used to trace the path of non-metallic pipes

Self-contained signal transmitters (Sondes) are used to trace the path of non-metallic pipes, locate line blockage, clay tile, cast iron, asbestos and any other non-metallic or non-conductive structures that will accept the insertion of the Sonde. There are many other applications for the use of the Sondes. They are chiefly used in the industrial construction and underground utility industry.

The 8840S SONDE transmits a signal of 815Hz while traveling through the non-conductive structure. The signal can be received using the 8840 SONDE receiver (8840SD).

The 8840SD package is an economical way to satisfy all of your remote transmitting needs. It includes the 8840S SONDE and the 8840SD receiver in a durable softcase. Or, for your convenience, these components may be purchased separately.

The 8840S 815Hz SONDE signal can also be traced with other RYCOM locating equipment.
