Caterpillar Inc. introduces the new C6.6 diesel-fueled generator set, rated at 114–150 ekW. With ACERT™ Technology, this generator set is capable of meeting Tier 3 emissions compliance without sacrificing performance or fuel economy. Caterpillar's 125 ekW model will be one of the first to market with Tier 3 certification.

The C6.6 features an EMCP 3 controller that communicates directly with an ADEM A4 Electronic Control Module for advanced troubleshooting. It provides 3-5 dBA engine noise reduction, excellent fuel economy, lower oil consumption and extended service intervals of up to 500 hours.
