Students are taught the OSHA and NFPA 70E mandated special precautionary techniques and the use of electrical protective equipment. This course will cover the use of arc protective equipment, insulated hand tools, and personal protective grounding and ground testing. This course uses a combination of lecture and video. Each student receives a copy of the course text which includes the OSHA regulations.

All students are encouraged to take the Electrical Safety Assessment test and/or On-Line course prior to attending the class.

Who Should Attend
Industrial and commercial electrical maintenance personnel, engineers, supervisors and safety personnel who work on or near energized and deenergized electrical equipment and systems and other personnel classified as "qualified" by OSHA.
