Application Note: Warehouse Asset Protection
Smoke detectors and sprinkler systems are absolutely necessary to minimize the risk to warehouse contents. Still, they represent a response to fire that has already broken out. FLIR's Warehouse Asset Protection Systems go a step further by providing an early warning response to hot spots that are detected with thermal imaging infrared (IR) cameras. This is particularly important for warehouse contents that are prone to spontaneous combustion, or highly flammable. FLIR IR cameras clearly reveal hot spots on a remote video or PC monitor in real time, and tell a viewer the precise temperature and location of those spots. This application flyer describes how these systems can be designed and used to save hundreds of thousands of dollars in content and structural damage by identifying imminent fires.
