Description
The TFGA-P200 is a new portable gas-in-oil analyzer which can measure, on-site, in less than two minutes, the seven fault gases which may be present in dielectric fluids. The analyzer is used with Morgan Schaffer Systems' new Shake Test* syringe to analyze oil samples and can also analyze gas samples collected by MSS' GP-100 gas extraction probe, a passive device installed permanently on power and instrument transformers for continuously producing a gas sample for on-site analysis without oil sampling.
The analyzer is supplied complete with control software (EZChrom) and MSS's PPMreport *, a database management software designed to produce standard gas-in-oil reports and export sample information and test data to more sophisticated diagnostic software like Transformer Oil Analyst **. Software will run on most 486 and Pentium portable computers configured for operation with Windows 3.x or Windows 95. A minimum of 16 MB of RAM is strongly recommended
The TFGA-P200 analyzer, which is basically a portable high speed gas chromatograph, uses helium at 99.9995% purity as carrier gas and consumes gas at a rate of approximately 60 psi/hour. The internal carrier gas cylinder is rated for use up to 1,800 psi thus providing 30 hours of continuous operation. An internal rechargeable battery provides power for a minimum of 15 hours of operation
