The new 7600 ION power meter combines power quality reporting functions with advanced analysis capabilities.
The new 7600 ION power meter combines power quality reporting functions with advanced analysis capabilities. The panel-mount meter helps simplify power quality analysis by categorizing detailed data and summarizing it into useful information. Well suited for monitoring service entrances and key distribution points, the meter uses expanded measurement capabilities, such as "flicker", and fast transient detection, down to 65µs, to capture critical events.

Based on the company's recently introduced 7500 ION meter, the enhanced 7600 monitors compliance with international power-quality standards, such as EN50160, and can be configured to accommodate other industry-specific standards, such as those developed by the SEMI and IEEE organizations. Key power quality parameters like "flicker", typically available only from portable devices, are measured over time and summarized by the meter as simple power quality indices. These are then automatically reported by the manufacturer's PC-based PEGASYS software, a tool that can collect and report information from an entire enterprise-wide metering network.
